The race will begin at Catawba Meadows Park
and go through the greenway. Come to pinic shelter #3. The proceeds
of this race will benefit Medical
Patient Modesty. We will also have a silent
auction with many great items including gift certificates
for local restaurants, attraction tickets, and gift certificates
for hotels in different states you can bid on. Check out the
silent
auction list. Be sure you bring your check book
and/or extra cash so you can participate in the silent auction.
Chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A,
water, and fruit will be provided to all runners after the race.
Each runner will be guaranteed a tote bag with goodies if they
register by April 18th.
Awards For Runners:
- The Top 2 female and male finishers will receive gift certificates
for 7 night stay at Caribbean resorts in Antigua and Grenadines
donated by Elite
Island Resorts. Winners will be responsible
for surcharges, transportation, and taxes. Winners are welcome
to give the resort gift certificates to family members or
friends as gifts.
- Medals will be awarded to top finishers in different age
groups as well.
Best Caribbean Theme Dressed Contest:
All walkers and runners have the option of entering
the best caribbean theme dressed contest after the race. The
two best dressed will win gift certificates for Elite
Island Resorts. Shirt and shorts or pants must be
worn. You can wear caribbean theme jewelry, hats, and
shirts.
Pricing for 5K Run / Walk:
- Early Bird Registration before April 1st-
$20 (Walk - $15)
- Pre-registration before April 26th -
$25 (Walk - $20)
- Day of Race - $30
