Medical professionals taking pictures of patients' organs and patients under anesthesia happens more than you can imagine. The only reason patient advocates at the hospital spoke up against this case was because they were posted on Instagram. Lawsuit claims Anchorage neurosurgeon improperly took and shared photo of patient’s genitals

An attorney for the spine surgery patient in Alaska whose surgeon took pictures of his genitals while he was under anesthesia shared this statement: When patients are under general anesthesia, they're at their most vulnerable. They have to have confidence that doctors are going to act honorably, professionally and free of any immoral, perverted, or depraved motives or impulses.

The outcome for the above case would have been different if the man had a personal advocate such as his wife present. He also should have been allowed to wear underwear. Patients under general anesthesia cannot speak up.
